A revolution is gathering pace - fuelled by a passion to provide access to inclusive sport for young people in Glasgow.
The new club ‘Resistance’ caters for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people in a pioneering scheme which aims to deliver free weekly derby training for young people aged 12-17.
More than £1,000 has been raised already - increasing the number of young people who will be welcomed into roller derby.
A spokesperson for the club said: “We are a sports club for queer and trans young people who want to play the sport of roller derby.
“LGBTQI young people have lower rates of participation in sport and are more likely to have significant barriers including mental health issues, homelessness and abuse.
“It is important we remove financial barriers to make Resistance as accessible as possible.
The club has its first intake in January 2017 or for more informatione-mail email@example.com
