Free fair promotes fitness

Fit4Less, a community gym based in Thornliebank is launching a Community Health and Fitness Fair to highlight the importance of healthy eating, diet, exercise, welfare and enhance community relations and promote harmony in a diverse area.

This Free Community Fair will kick off at 11am tomorrow (Saturday, September 29) at Rouken Glen Park with an official opening by East Renfrewshire Provost Jim Fletcher, and conclude at 3pm.

The site will be at the side of the Pavilion and across the path will be exercise classes – Spin, LBT (legs, bums and tums), HIT (High intensity training classes, lasting 15 - 20 minutes) – which will give the public an opportunity to participate in taster classes, while partners provide educational services, in the form of stalls, covering areas such as diet, health and welfare, exercise and the importance of healthy living.
