A former Labour MP for the southside is to head up a Scottish movement to quit the European Union.
Tom Harris, who represented Glasgow South, will take the lead of the Vote Leave campaign.
He said he was being joined by another former MP, Ian Davidson, who had also represented a southside constituency before losing to the SNP in last year’s election.
My Harris said it was about putting Scots folk first. He said: “Every week the UK sends £350m to the EU. Scotland’s share is roughly a tenth of that - more than £1.5bn a year.
“Just think what that money could buy here in Scotland — on schools, on our health service, repairing our roads — if it wasn’t being sent into the black hole that is EU spending.”
