TYCI is delighted to be collaborating with the Mental Health Foundation on an event for their Declaration Festival(

TYCI is a collective run by women who care about things. Started in 2012 by Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES, TYCI is a website, zine, radio show, podcast and live event series promoting all things woman.

Originally run by a handful of artists, musicians, bloggers, writers and producers in Glasgow, TYCI now has contributors based around the world.

The Declaration Festival is a partnership between NHS Health Scotland, the Mental Health Foundation, the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) and the Centre for Health Policy at the University of Strathclyde.

It will feature a programme of 30 events – a mixture of film screenings, performances, debates, workshops and provocations, each one inspired by one of the 30 articles in the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, with a focus on how human rights and the right to health come alive in Scotland today.

In response, TYCI has programmed a specially curated event Friday 4th March and have invited multiple artists to respond to Article Three of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: the right to life, liberty and personal security examining Article Three through the lens of gender and its consequences and effects on our mental and physical health.

The event runs from March 3 - 6 at The Centre for Contemporary Arts.
