Glasgow weather live updates: New weather warnings as Storm Isha disruption to continue
An amber weather warning in Glasgow for strong winds associated with Storm Isha has caused disruption to transport and damage to property. A yellow warning for rain is in place today with a chance that homes and buildings could be subject to flooding. An updated weather warning forecasts rain and high winds to continue into Tuesday and Wednesday.
Storm Isha brought high winds to Glasgow overnight with delays and cancellations to bus, train and flights. Some roads are closed this morning with diversions in place because of downed trees and flooding.

Domestic flights cancelled from Glasgow Airport
Some domestic flights departing from Glasgow Airport have been cancelled this morning.
The airport are advising passengers to directly check in with your airline if you are travelling during Storm Isha.

Glasgow City Council confirms schools open
Glasgow City Council took to social media this morning to confirm that all schools in the city are open unless the building has been affected by storm damage.
"We had lot of messages last night asking if schools are open today due to the high winds "All our schools are open as normal unless we tell you otherwise.

Strong winds associated with Storm Isha are likely to bring some disruption to travel and utilities across the UK Monday. A yellow warning is in place for Tuesday and Wednesday across most of the country.

Network Rail
Network Rail said it expects train services in Scotland to remain suspended until around noon after “a wild night”.
A spokesman said: “The railway has recovered quickly this morning following Storm Isha with trees and debris cleared across routes in England and Wales, and route proving trains reporting lines clear.
“Passenger and freight services have restarted and a good service is expected in most areas. Passengers should still check before they head out for the latest travel news on trains operators’ websites.
“The exception is Scotland where we do not expect to be able to restart services until around midday with dozens of lines shut due to fallen trees and flooding.
“Hundreds of engineers are already out, armed with chainsaws and cherry pickers to remove and repair. Once done, route proving trains will be dispatched before passenger services can restart.
“It’s been a wild night, but passengers and railway staff have been kept safe and we will work tirelessly to get the railway back on its feet as quickly as we can.”
Train line damage
Damage has been caused to a railway line after a fallen tree impacted overhead wires at Gartcosh overnight. Heavy winds has led to fallen trees, damaged fences and flying debris overnight. A yellow weather warning is currently in place.

Police Scotland has said "Conditions for travel may still be hazardous and we advise that all road users should exercise extra caution."
Primary school closed
Carmunnock Primary School will be closed today following damage to the roof overnight, Glasgow City Council has said.
Scotrail Services
All ScotRail services in and out of Glasgow railway stations are currently cancelled. Each route will have to undergo a safety inspection, which means it will be after 12pm today before any trains can run.
ScotRail tickets dated 21 January for cancelled journeys will be accepted for travel on 22 and 23 January.
Anyone who is unable to use their tickets, or has made alternative arrangements, is entitled to a full refund on their unused train tickets.

The Met Office expects rain and high winds to continue into this afternoon with the hour by hour forecast for weather conditions stating:

9am: Rain, 5°C, 44 mph winds
10am: Rain, 5°C, 47 mph winds
11am: Rain, 6°C, 46 mph winds
12pm: Rain, 6°C, 48 mph winds
1pm: Rain, 6°C, 49 mph winds
2pm: Rain, 6°C, 46 mph winds
3pm: Rain, 6°C, 47 mph winds
