Giffnock South Parish Church are getting off to a fine fundraising start in 2016 with a garden fete being held on Saturday, May 14.
This latest event is just one in the congregation’s attempt to raise funds for the church’s roof fund.
And it’s sure to be a day out you won’t want to miss if you’re a southsider, with a number of stalls on the day, including; cake and candy, plant stalls (sponsored by McLarens Garden Centre), garden equipment sales, guess the number of balloons in the car, guess the weight of the rabbit - that’ll be an interesting one! In addition there will also be a bouncy castle, a magician and face painting to keep the kids busy while the adults grab a well-earned cuppa and slice of home baking in the tea room.
Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, what about the ice cream stall, the barbecue or the grand tombola.
All that’s needed to ensure a huge turnout is some lovely sunny weather - over to the congregation for that one!
The event will open at 12 noon and runs until 4pm at 2 Greenhill Avenue, Giffnock.
