More than 8,000 people turned out to see Giffnock’s Christmas tree light up for the festive season.
Giffnock Village’s Festive Fun Day took place in Saturday, with Santa dropping in to watch local performers strut their stuff ahead of a firework finale.
On the brand new festive lights, a spokesman for the local BID team said: “Purchased by local businesses, Christmas lights will be in place throughout the festive season to provide some warmth to our town and support the merry atmosphere.”
The I Love Clarkston Christmas Extravaganza follows this Saturday (November 22) from 12.30-5pm.
Santa will be showing face again alongside rising star Emily Middlemas (15), local musicians and fresh food, as well as kids rides and another spectacular firework show.
