FIREFIGHTERS were called to the New Turban restaurant in Giffnock on Saturday.
Flames in the kichen area prompted several calls to emergency services, who arrived at 2.05pm to begin more than two hours of firefighting.
Several members of the fire service fought the blaze and began aggressive cutting away in the kitchen to stop the fire spreading in the Fenwick Place restaurant.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious, according to a spokesman from Scottish Fire and Rescue, and there were no casualties.
A spokesman from the restaurant said: “Luckily nobody was hurt, and the local fire brigade came in time to stop the fire spreading.
“I’m sure we will be up and running again very soon.”
