FREE playwriting project at the Village Storytelling Centre. Join Martin O’Connor 10am-noon every Friday until December 19 to create new work on biography and real life experience.

ALPHA course at Cartsbridge Evangelical Church, Busby. An opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Runs 7pm (starting with a meal) until December 11. Email alpha@cartsbridgechurch.com for info.

STITCHING revival over at Fairweather Hall as the Renfrewshire Embroiderers Guild meet. 7.30pm start, and this week’s guest speaker is Jenny McGhee on The Glasgow Girls. New members welcome.

Tuesday November 11

LADIES pamper and Christmas shopping evening at Mearns Kirk. In aid of Mearnskirk Playgroup - entry £4. Beauty treatments, gifts, raffle and more from 7-10pm.

MUMS and Grans Cafe open again 10am-noon at Fairweather Hall — second week of eight week pilot project. Men welcome too for tea, coffee, chatting and homebaking. Free event.
