Councillor has his say on East Renfrewshire Council meeting result
In our edition of December 22, we carried an article '˜Police called in after incident at meeting'.
This included comment from an East Renfrewshire Council spokesman that the matter under consideration was “unanimously approved after elected member scrutiny and discussion.”
Since then, Cllr David Macdonald has contacted us to advise that he did not support the approval of a paper on restructuring costs and asked us to make this clear. We are happy to do so and apologise for any confusion caused.
Mr Macdonald has also advised that he did not support the exclusion of the press and public, and put forward an amendment to that proposal, which was subsequently defeated.
