Hide AdIt’s been confirmed that Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell will host the General Election count for the first time and that ballot papers will be rushed to the complex as soon as the polls close at 10pm on Thursday March 7.
A spokesperson for North Lanarkshire Council confirmed that Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East would be one of four Lanarkshire constituencies involved in the count - and rejected suggestion that locals were not being accommodated.
He was also unable to confirm at what point the result was expected.
