Kind kids at St Mark’s Primary have raised more than £1,000 for sick children at Yorkhill.
Members of the pupil council organised a sponsored Santa Dash which saw youngsters and staff alike don hats, Christmas jumpers and even full santa suits to run the school grounds.
The festive event raised more than £800 for a very worthwhile cause.
The Barrhead school’s resident choir have also been doing their bit, with P4-7 children wowing the crowds at Tesco Barrhead and Barrhead Health Centre.
Their performances brought in a further £200, thanks to generous donations from the public.
All that charity work inspired staff at St Mark’s to go one step further, and instead of the annual Secret Santa gift swap, colleagues bought gifts for children spending time in the sick kids hospital over the festive season.
Head teacher Gerard McLaughlin said: “I would like to thank parents and carers for their continued generosity in supporting our school and the various charities we are linked to.”
The school also donated a large number of food iteams to East Renfrewshire’s foodbanks in time for the holiday.
