THE Easter school holidays will be jam-packed with fun and activity for kids in East Renfrewshire.
They’re being given the chance to take part in everything from week-long sports and activity camps to day-long events including swimming, arts and crafts and drama coaching.
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure and Leisure has organised a wide variety of activities to keep youngsters entertained from Monday, April 3 to Thursday, April 13 with their Spring Holiday Activities programme.
And parents will need to be quick off the mark to book their children on to these activities, as many of the events are proving popular.
Just some of the activities taking place in local venues include Athletics and Multi Sport Camps at Eastwood High School Sports Centre; the arts and crafts Superhero Academy, at Woodfarm High School; a Play in a Week drama class at Eastwood Park Theatre and balloon sculpting at Giffnock and Mearns Libraries.
There’s also football, mini tennis, gymnastics and basketball at Williamwood High School along with athletics for all ages and badminton at Mearns Castle High School.
And there are lessons in swimming, distance swimming and diving from the poolside at Eastwood Park Leisure.
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure chief executive, Anthony McReavy said: “We’ve got a massive range of fun, informative and healthy activities for youngsters of all ages to enjoy during the Easter school holidays.
“There’s certainly no excuse for the kids to become bored during the Spring break and with a look at our Spring Activities Programme brochure, parents will be sure to find something for them to take part in.”
