HOG roasts, rodeo bull rides and Big Vern ‘n’ the Shootahs are all part of this year’s Eaglesham fair.
And organisers are appealing for residents to help fund it.
Friends of the fair are being asked to donate £10 to help stage what promises to be the biggest and best event yet.
The family-fun-filled day will take place on May 21 and friends who donate will have their names highlighted on a special programme.
Alistair McBride, fair committee chairman, said: “With plans to do so much more this year, it’s really important friends of the fair come forward with their donations.
“They have played a vital role in the past and will continue to do so. We couldn’t have made the fair as big a success as it has been, and hopefully will be again, without their help”.
It will kick off with a colourful procession through Eaglesham by youngsters from various local groups dressed as cartoon characters.
And a large part of the village green will be given over to rides and attractions for kids from toddlers to teenagers – including a rodeo bull ride, superjet ride and bungee trampolines.
Meanwhile, the showring will have everything from dancing to a karate demonstration, a strongman performance and terrier racing.
A marquee will also have arts and crafts, home baking and other stalls packed with bargains.
Elsewhere, there will be vintage fire engines on display.
The RAF are planning a display with a Dakota aircraft from World War II. May marks the 70th anniversary of Hitler’s right-hand man Rudolph Hess crash-landing near Eaglesham.
A beer tent, hog roast, burger vans, tearoom and ice cream carts will also be available.
The day will finish with a night of celebrations in the marquee led by popular band Big Vern ’n’ the Shootahs.
Anyone wishing to donate should make cheques payable to Eaglesham Fair and send them to Lynn Kirkland, 49 Park Crescent, Eaglesham, Glasgow, G76 0JD.
Tickets (£6 adults, £3 children and free for under fives) for the evening entertainment are available from Lynn on email@example.com.
