Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in the Govan area of Glasgow on Sunday, October 23.
Around 7pm a 44-year-old man was walking along Carmichael Street when he was approached by a man who hit him over the head with a weapon.
The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and has since been released.
The suspect is described as being aged in his early 20s, white, and spoke with a local accent.
Detective Constable Stephen Walker from Govan CID said: “This was a random and unprovoked attack which left the victim with a serious head injury.
“It is crucial that we trace the person responsible as soon as possible and I would appeal to anyone with information to contact us immediately.
“In particular we would like to speak to a man who was in Carmichael Street at the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened.
