Police Scotland confirm that 27-year-old man has died following disturbance in Abronhill

A man has died following an incident in Abronhill which saw a ring of steel thrown round the area from late afternoon on Monday as police then forensics rushed to the scene.

Shortly before going to press, a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “We were made aware of a 27-year-old man who suffered a serious injury in a disturbance outside the Abronhill Shopping Centre on Pine Road around 4.40pm on Monday. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a property on Larch Court.

“A 15-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.”

Police have not named the man who died.
