POLICE at Cathcart station have appealed for assistance in tracing a missing man.

Craig McCaffrey (24) was last seen in the southside on Friday (October 26), around 8.45pm.

He was leaving a fancy dress night out with his brother and two friends at the 02 Academy on Eglinton Street, heading in the direction of Bridge Street.

Described as white, 6ft tall, of medium build and with short, black hair and brown eyes, Craig was wearing a gorilla costume (without the head), a black Gio Gio jacket, a green and white jacket underneath and red shoes with a white V symbol on them.

He has a tattoo of his own name on his left forearm, and another of a shamrock on his right forearm, as well as the word Celtic on his upper right arm and a dragon on the left side of his chest.

Despite CCTV checks and door to door enquiries, there have been no further sightings of Craig since Friday.

Inspector Angela Carty said: “Concern is growing for Craig’s safety as his disappearance is completely out of character. I would ask that anyone who has seen him, or knows of his whereabouts, contact Cathcart police office on 532 4900, or their local station, as a matter of urgency.

“I would also ask if he is able, that Craig himself contact police to assure us that he is okay”.
