Police Scotland is appealing for information after a 15 year-old boy was robbed in the Darnley area of Glasgow in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday, August 25 the 15 year-old boy was walking along Nitshill Road, near to Corselet Road, with his friend when two boys approached him and hit him on the head with a weapon.

They then took his mobile phone and bank card before making off along Corselet Road.

The 15 year-old boy was then helped by two men and a woman who were within a three door silver or grey coloured car which had pulled into a nearby restaurant car park. He later attended hospital to be treated for a head injury.

The suspects are described as being aged between 14 and 16. One was wearing a blue coloured Lacoste tracksuit and had his face covered with a scarf or mask, the other one was wearing dark coloured clothing.

Detective Constable Christopher Sneddon, Govan Police Office, said: “This was a terrifying attack on a young man and it is vital that we trace those responsible.

“We are particularly keen to speak to those who were within the the silver/grey coloured car who assisted the 15 year-old boy and gave him a lift home. He may have information that can help us in our enquiry.
