A Glasgow boy who has a 100 per cent attendance record but failed to turn up for school yesterday has been found safe and well after police executed an extensive search across the city.

It has been confirmed that 12-year-old Liam Jack Bonthron from Glasgow’s West End was traced this morning in the Silverburn area.

His family were especially concerned as Liam Jack who was last seen in Clarence Drive at 8.50pm yesterday had never been missing before.

This morning a police spokesperson confirmed that Liam Jack was safe and thanked the public and the media for helping them in their search.
