Man arrested in Barrhead faces dangerous driving and possession of a knife charges

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Barrhead and charged with dangerous driving and possession of a knife.

The man, who was stopped in the early hours of Sunday morning, is also facing a number of other charges, including resisting arrest and driving without insurance.

In a separate incident, a 31-year-old man was due to appear in court after members of the public alerted the police to the standard of his driving.

He has been charged with failing to provide a breath sample when required to do so.
