Enquiries continue into attempted murder

Detectives are continuing enquiries into the attempted murder of a 59-year-old man in the Govan area of Glasgow on Saturday, August 25 2018.

The attack took place around 7.20pm in Riverview Place where it meets with Riverview Drive.

The victim remains in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries. Medical staff describe his condition as stable.

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace the individuals involved in this incident and Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

In particular, they are appealing for a man who contacted Govan CID on Monday 27 August with information, which could be of interest, to come forward.

The man did not provide contact details and advised officers that he would re-contact them. However, officers are yet to hear from him and are asking that he gets in touch again.
