Drugs recovery in Govan

Drugs with an estimated street value of a £125,000 have been seized by officers in Govan.

At around 6.25pm on Wednesday, February 14, officers stopped a car on Helen Street, Govan, and recovered a quantity of controlled drugs, believed to be cannabis, from the vehicle.

As a result of the stop, officers, acting under warrant, then searched a house in Canmore Street, Parkhead, Glasgow, and recovered a further quantity of controlled drugs, again believed to be cannabis.

Two men, aged 49 and 47 years, have been arrested and charged in connection with the find.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

The men are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Thursday, February 15)
