Drugs worth an estimated street value of £1.3M have been seized by officers from Greater Glasgow’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit.

Around 10.45am on Friday, August 12, officers acting under warrant, searched a flat in Easterhill Place, Tollcross, Glasgow and discovered a quantity of drugs. Officers seized approximately 5 kilos of what’s believed to be cocaine, more than 300 grams of what is believed to be Heroin and 30 kilos of a mixing/cutting agent, Benzocaine.

Detective Inspector Jim Biggam said: “This operation demonstrates our determination to rid our streets of drugs and serious and organised crime. Through effective intelligence gathering, help and support from the local community we can cause considerable disruption to the supply of drugs. This remains a high priority and we will continue to target those involved in this criminal activity.”
