Detectives at Greater Glasgow Division are appealing for information following an indecent incident in Giffnock on Tuesday, May 29.

Around 12.50pm, a 40-year-old woman was walking near to the junction of Ayr Road and Davieland Road, when a man whistled at her to gain her attention and thereafter exposed himself to her.

Following the incident the man ran into Rouken Glen Park.

The man is described as white, in his 40s, with a heavy build and a pale complexion.

Officers are checking CCTV footage from around the area for any additional details.

Constable Daryl Haddow of Greater Glasgow Division said: “This incident has left the lady very upset and it’s imperative we trace the man responsible. The park is popular with local people, many of whom, will be troubled by this incident.

“However, people can be assured that extensive enquiries are underway to trace the man and additional officers will be on patrol.

“We know the park was busy around the time of the incident with people out enjoying the recent good weather and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed a man acting suspiciously or saw a man running through the park.”
