SOUTHSIDE schools have been counting their trophies following last week’s cross country events.
Williamwood High won a remarkable four team titles at Saturday’s Scottish secondary schools cross country championship. while Mearns Castle won the over 17 boys’ crown.
In that race, Mearns Castle’s Luke Traynor came second, closely followed by Williamwood’s Grant Muir in third.
Fellow Giffnock north runner Chloe Cowan added to her reputation, winning the girls 14-15 race.
Hutcheson’s Grammar won two team titles at the event after a strong showing at the Glasgow schools junior race on Thursday at Pollok Park where Hutchie bagged two trophies. There, Harry Nimmo claimed victory in the p6 race.
Craigholme left the Glasgow schools undefeated in team competition, winning gold in both the P7 girls and the P6 girls race.
