It’s St. Patrick’s Day and you might be wondering where to find the best Guinness; it just so happens that Dogs Trust Glasgow may have the one for you. Guinness, a five-year-old Lurcher is a resident at the local rehoming centre and is also one of the most happy-go-lucky dogs you will find. Unfortunately he has not had that much luck when it comes to finding his ‘furever home’.
Canine carers are hoping Guinness will soon find his ‘pot of gold at the end of the rainbow’ in the form of a loving new family. He is a very affectionate dog who has a lot of love to give and enjoys nothing more than being lavished with cuddles.
Sandra Lawton, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Glasgow, said: “Guinness just loves people and his favourite thing is being around his human companions! He is one of the friendliest and most laid back dogs we have had at the rehoming centre and his calm and placid nature would fit in well in the right household.”
“Guinness was found wandering the streets as a stray dog, so it is important that we find a family who have the space in their heart to give him the love he needs. Guinness needs a new home with a secure garden so he can continue his training in a safe environment and be able to wander about to his heart’s content and sunbathe, which is one of his favourite pastimes.”
“He can live with children aged 12 and over and must be the only pet in the house but with all the love he has to share, he will definitely fill your heart as well as your home.”
Lurchers and greyhounds are typical couch ‘potatoes’ and Guinness is no exception. As much as he loves to play with toys, he also enjoys sleeping and regularly likes to catch up on some nap time after a long walk.
Will Guinness be your favourite part of St. Patrick’s Day?
