COSGROVE Care welcomed special guests for Disability Awareness Week.
East Renfrewshire politicians Ken Macintosh MSP and Jim Murphy MP met with volunteers and service users, and the MSP commented: “It was a pleasure to join Cosgrove Care, which helps children and adults by making the most of their abilities.”
Jim Murphy added: “Disability Awareness Week helps to remind us of the excellent work that many institutions carry out in helping those with special needs and Cosgrove is a great example of this.
“It was great to learn so much about Cosgrove’s activities in supporting people across the local community.”
The charity operates across the southside and East Renfrewshire, providing supported employment — including training and qualification schemes at its two Shawlands shops — and help with independent living, as well as Giffnock-based drop-in services.
