Clydesdale tourism industry damaged by windfarms
So claimed the pressure group Communities Against Turbines (CATS) in its latest scathing attack directed at what it sees as Scottish Government inaction to stop the flood of developments in rural areas like Clydesdale.
The ire of CATS spokeswoman Linda Holt was this week personally directed at Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond for a speech he made, outlining his government’s policy towards windpower generation, part of a general strategy to make Scotland the world’s first ‘carbon neutral’ nation.

Hide AdShe raged: “Instead of parading around the world as a great green leader, Mr Salmond needs to get out into the Scottish countryside and meet the communities, including tourism stakeholders, whose lives and businesses are being ruined by turbinisation.”
