Cathcart MSP James Dornan has launched his 2014 Christmas toy appeal for local families in need.
It’s the fourth annual collection organised by the Holyrood man, and anyone who wishes to donate can drop their presents off at his office on 4 King’s Park Road throughout December.
Mr Dornan will also host a coffee morning next Friday (December 19) at 11am at the constituency office, encouraging more people to pop in with donations for the area’s vulnerable neighbours.
He said: “Since becoming the MSP for Cathcart in 2011, I’ve launched an appeal to the people of my constituency to donate toys for local kids.
“They’ve never failed to give generously at this time of year - and I’m sure they’ll do so again this Christmas.”
The MSP will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food, to be distributed to families in need.
Those handing in toys are asked not to gift wrap them, to ensure that they go to an appropriate recipient, and kind-hearted southsiders are asked to include batteries in any toys which require them.
