CAB need more help to cope with demand
Every year, thousands of people turn to Citizens Advice for help and the bureau has seen a steady rise in demand over the past months.
Reasons put forward for this include the many recent reforms and cuts to services, as well as the biggest shake-up of welfare benefits for decades.

Hide AdMotherwell & Wishaw CAB general manager Audrey Cuthbertson said: “Without the passion and generosity of our dedicated volunteers, the service would struggle to survive and the cost to the economy of unresolved problems would soar.
“The more trained volunteers we have the more people that can be helped. Advice really does change lives and our volunteers do a fantastic job.
“People of all ages and backgrounds volunteer with the CAB service in a variety of roles, such as, trained advisers, tutors, administrators, receptionists and as members of the board of directors,”.
“The work that our volunteers do is tremendous, our clients often report improved health and well-being and increased confidence.”
