Universal Credit outreach events planned across East Renfrewshire

East Renfrewshire Council is working with the Barrhead Citizens Advice Bureau and East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure Trust on these drop-in events which are aimed at residents who have made or will be making the switch to Universal Credit.

The new benefits system was introduced in East Renfrewshire on September 26.

Staff from each of the partners will be on hand to offer advice and assistance with all aspects of Universal Credit including explaining the criteria, completing the claim and getting online as well as offering advice about budgeting and how to save money.
