The Granary Pub reveals exciting new look and menu

The Granary pub, on the Kilmarnock Road, officially reopened last Tuesday following an extensive three-week refurbishment, giving the Glasgow pub an exciting new look.

Renowned as a hub for live music and sports, the new look Granary offers an entire new food menu for visitors to enjoy in the easy-going pub. Guests can now tuck into freshly made stone-baked pizzas, mouth-watering burgers as well as mix & match tapas including drunken mushrooms, fried chicken bites and cheese ‘n’ bacon fries.

Joining the new food menu guests will also be greeted with a thirst quenching and extensive drinks menu, boasting a wide selection of craft beers and ciders. Visitors to the Granary will be able to enjoy the new drinks offering whilst taking in traditional pub entertainment, such as live bands, open mike night and a weekly pub quiz.

Speaking about the refurbishment general manager Steven McDonald, said: “It’s been fantastic seeing the pub come together over the last couple of weeks. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and see our guest’s reactions over the coming days. There have been some big changes and we’re confident they’ll go down well the people of Glasgow.

“Being ideally located right in the heart of Shawlands, our pub is the perfect spot to get together with friends, family or colleagues to relax and unwind over good food amongst a warm and welcoming atmosphere”.

“The menu won’t be the only changes our regulars will notice, until 1962 the Granary was a hub for tram cars and the pub will pay homage to its history with a number of new features, including the model train that runs above the bar being brought back to life.”

Following the extensive refurbishment and significant investment made at the pub six new jobs have been created for the local area, with the team ready to pull pints and serve delicious food to guests.
