Popular television presenter Lorraine Kelly is coming to Silverburn on Friday (June 8) to call on local residents to support local firms.
Lorraine will be making a guest appearance in the popular centre from 12 noon until 2pm where she will do a live Q&A.
She’ll be there in her capacity as an ambassador for Yell – the former Yellow Pages – in a bid to encourage shoppers to find their own ‘hidden gems’ in the wider areas’s shopping scene.
The former East Kilbride News reporter will also be discussing the need to embrace small businesses in Glasgow, detailing what residents can do to help and championing her own favourite businesses in the area.
Commenting on the campaign, Lorraine said: “Encouraging more people to discover the great locally owned shops is something we can all get behind.
“When my work has taken me away from Glasgow, I always love coming back, seeing old faces and of course, visiting my Glasgwegian favourites which is what the event is about.”
And during the event there will even be an opportunity for shoppers to meet Lorraine and have a selfie with her after the Q&A.
