Rachael proves that she's a cut above the rest

Rachael (26), who runs her own mobile hairdressing business won the Freelance Hair Specialist award – the same category in which she came runner up last year.

She said: “I cannot believe that I won! My whole body was shaking and it took a few seconds for it to sink in that it was me. I’ve worked so hard and to beat myself last year and win this year is just fantastic.”

And the award feels that more special knowing that it was Rachael’s customers who nominated her.

She continued: “It feels great knowing that it was my customers that voted for me and I thanked them on Facebook. And that it’s just me, I did this on my own just makes it even better.”

Also taking home an award was F&M Hairdressing in Barrhead who won Hair Salon of the Year (South West).
