Finalists for the 11th Scottish Curry Awards 2018 revealed

Finalists for the 11th annual Scottish Curry Awards have been announced with eight local eateries in the running.

Nominations have flooded in from all corners of the country to acknowledge and celebrate the effort, attitude, devotion and service that the very best individuals and establishments of the Scottish Curry industry put into every single meal.

The glamorous, black-tie awards ceremony will be held on the 16th of April at Glasgow’s towering, luxury Crowne Plaza Hotel on the banks of the River Clyde and will include a three-course meal and entertainment.

The event is being run by Oceanic Consulting, the UK’s leading ethnic consulting and promotions organisation, who have recently been shortlisted at the Asian Media Awards 2017 for their work in the Marketing & PR sector. The organisation is responsible for some of the most successful and well known events across the country, including The English Curry Awards and the recently launched London Curry Awards as well as The British Muslim Awards and The English Asian Business Awards amongst numerous others.

Irfan Younis, CEO of Oceanic Consulting said: “The Scottish Curry Awards are very important to us with  these being the first ever event organized by Oceanic Consulting and that led us on to launch the English Curry Awards and more recently, The London Curry Awards. We have seen the industry grow and flourish year on year despite the challenges that they have faced and we look forward to honouring that at the awards ceremony.”

The evening will also help to raise funds for The Well Foundation, a charity with a vision to provide safe, clean drinking Water for all.
