In attendance at the event will be the Citizens Advice Bureau, East Renfrewshire Council, Pioneer Mutual Credit Union, Job Centre Plus, Michelle Ballantyne MSP and Barrhead Housing Association who will also be able to offer support.

Paul Masterton, MP for East Renfrewshire said: “Universal Credit has now been rolled out in East Renfrewshire, and claimants have started to receive their first instalments. I know major changes such as these can have some teething issues and as such I have launched this event to help any constituents who are struggling with the system. Although the focus of the day will be the roll out of Universal Credit, I would urge any constituents with questions on the welfare system to come along.”

There is no appointment required, just drop in on the day.

The event will take place on Friday, October 26 at Volunteer Action East Renfrewshire, Kelburn Street Barrhead, between 1pm and 3pm.
