EAGLESHAM’S Eglinton Arms hotel has once again won the title Small Hotel of the Year at an annual awards ceremony.
The hotel, part of the Best Western group of independent hotels, achieved the accolade at an awards ceremony help by Best Western in London earlier in the year.
More than 350 hotel operators, executives, managers and their guests gathered for the evening at Best Western’s gala dinner after its annual members’ conference – the largest annual gathering of independent hoteliers in the UK.
Receiving the award was the Eglinton Arms’ general manager Carolyn Stark.
Carolyn said: “We are thrilled to have won this award for a second year running.
“It is simply amazing to have all our hard work and dedication recognised and rewarded by our fellow hoteliers.
“We have a great team of people at Best Western Eglinton Arms who work so hard to maintain high standards – the award is for every one of them”.
Best Western is the largest group of independently-owned and managed hotels in the UK with more than 270 three and four-star properties and properties with more than 15,000 bedrooms within the company’s core and premier brands.
Commenting on the awards, Keith Pope, director of Best Western UK, said: “Congratulations to the Best Western Eglinton Arms.
“The team at the hotel embodies the true qualities and vision of the Best Western brand.
“The hotel has its own individual personality and character, but its truly outstanding standards of quality and service are universally appreciated by customers and fellow hoteliers alike”.
