East Renfrewshire Council’s money advice and rights team (MART) is holding drop-in sessions throughout January to March at the Barrhead and Eastwood Health Centres to help residents take control of their finances.

There are many factors that can affect financial well-being, including the post-Christmas period and unexpected expenses, all of which can leave people feeling stressed.

Staff will be on hand at these sessions to provide support and offer advice and assistance with benefits, debts and budgeting.

The sessions will run from 9.30am until 12.30am on Mondays at Barrhead Health Centre and Wednesdays at Eastwood Health Centre.

The first is set for Monday 14 January with the last one scheduled for Wednesday 27 March.

There will be packs available with useful information on council services as well as free giveaways with tips on how to improve your financial wellbeing.
