The Busby Hotel has added an award-winning manager to its list of accolades.

The venue’s Juliet Parry was crowned the Hotel Manager (Small Hotel) of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards.

Juliet has been general manager at The Busby Hotel for two years. She has a long background in the hospitality industry.

Her career started at the Moat House Hotel in Glasgow where she worked as a waitress.

Ambitious and hard-working, her hospitality career flourished, and she became Operations and Hotel Manager at the Marine Hotel in Troon.

A further move saw her take over the role as operations manager at the Millennium Hotel in Glasgow.

As general manager of the Busby Hotel, she has been instrumental in the introduction of many new initiatives and she is passionate about the development of young recruits into the industry.

She is an advocate of the Young Apprenticeship Programme, and introduced the Culinary Awards for Excellence, a project run in conjunction with local schools. Juliet has also seen The Busby Hotel become the Manorview Group’s Training Centre of Excellence.

Juliet said: “I’m absolutely delighted because this is a tough category to win, the competition is of a very high standard.

“On a personal level, it’s great to receive this recognition, but this is more about the Busby Team. I have excellent people working alongside me.

“We’re passionate about the hospitality industry, developing and growing new talent, becoming the best we can be, and delivering memorable experiences to all our customers.”
