Bonham’s moves out of city into suburbs


Bonhams International Auctioneers is to open a new West of Scotland office in Kirkhill House, Newton Mearns.

The office opens officially onThursday. Bonhams’ previous office on St Vincent Street, Glasgow, closes on Tuesday.

Bonhams managing director in Scotland, Miranda Leslie, said, “This is an exciting move for us and our clients. Kirkhill House provides everything we need to offer a first rate experience.

“We will have more space to hold valuations and exhibitions and to entertain — all in a prestigious and beautiful historic building with the future-proof technology that is required by an international auction house.”

Bonhams’ west of Scotland office will be open Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm. The first four valuations of the year will take place as follows: Wednesday, February 10 (jewellery); Wednesday, March 2 (arms and armour, sporting guns, coins, medals and banknotes); Tuesday, March 8 (watches); Thursday, March 10 (jewellery).
