A body found in Loch Fyne, Argyll, is believed to be that of Ian Saunders (51), who failed to return home from his work in Clarkston on Friday.
Mr Saunders, of Cambuslang, left the Mineral Yard in Clarkston at 8.20am on Friday, and police later launched an appeal for information.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 12.20pm on Monday, the body of a man was recovered from Loch Fyne near to Inveraray by members of the coastguard.
“Although a formal identification has still to take place, it is believed to be that of Ian Saunders, 51, who had been missing from Cambuslang since Friday.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and relatives of Mr Saunders have been informed of the discovery. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
