LANGSIDE and Pollokshaws libraries are holding events for under threes using stories songs and rhymes to assist with literacy and numeracy – while also having fun. Times: 10.30am till 11.30am. Free event.
Eaglesham bowling club celebrates its centenary year with a free open day Cheapside Street, Eaglesham. All welcome.
Saturday, April 14
GRAB a coffee and catch up with your neighbours at Giffnock South parish church. Head along between 10am and noon. Tickets are £2 for adults and £1 for children (and maybe £1 to join in the quiz?). Money raised goes towards little extras and treats for the residents of Eastwoodhill.
THORNLIEBANK TRA is holding its annual litter pick-up. Skip will be provided for this day of action between 10am and noon. Meeting at 60 Main Street.

THERE’S the chance to give back a little to the community with a spring clean up at the Dams 2 Darnley. Litter picking equipment will be supplied. Happening between 10am and 1pm.
Tuesday, April 17
THERE’S a family fun day at the Waverley Tea Room on Moss Side Road. Face painting, bouncy castle and more. Hope for good weather for this free event. From noon till 4pm.
Wednesday, April 18
GIFFNOCK Theatre Players are putting on a production of Ah, Wilderness – Eugene O’Neill’s coming-of-age drama. Tickets are £8 to £10 and the show runs until Saturday. Time 7.30pm with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.
Thursday, April 19
DIANA Schad plays at Linen 1906. The singer/pianist performs original tunes and cover material. Starts at 8pm. Free event.
WEEKLY jam session at Samuel Dow’s pub. Free.
