Waiting at Wemyss by Gill Williamson

I had seen an image of the Wemyss Bay train station and was impressed by the architecture and colour of the roof and wanted to go there and take some images of the station for myself. It was taken on a very dreich day and when I arrived the station platform was deserted.

I had enlisted the help of a friend and dog and positioned them in various locations on the platform. I liked the curves in the roof and rail lines with the passenger and dog waiting on the train. I liked the fact that the dog looks fed up waiting and is lying down.

It also helps that the subjects are both wearing red jackets and I think that works well with the green roof structure. Taken with my Canon 450D Aperture Priority 7.1, Shutter Speed 1/60, ISO 200.
