Whitecraigs Rugby Club on Aurs Road, Newton Mearns will be reverberating to the sound of the Kilbride ceilidh band next month.
Broom, Kirkhill and Mearnskirk Community Council has organised a one-off fundraiser on Saturday, March 16, in aid of the Newton Mearns First Responders group.
The music and action kicks off at 7.30pm and continues to midnight. Tickets cost £15 (including buffet) are available from 07789 482343 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will also be a raffle and silent auction.
Proceeds will go to help pay for vital training equipment and running costs for Newton Mearns First Responders – local volunteers who are trained by the Scottish Ambulance Service to enable them to respond to emergency calls in the area in the event of life-threatening events such as heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest and remain with the person until the ambulance/paramedic arrives.
Members of the group also participate in local community clubs and events to pass on skills that can save lives.
Help a vital volunteer group continue to serve the community – and have fun in the process.
Make a date on Saturday, March 16 and get ready to swirl and burl the night away!
