A host of cafes throughout the southside are in the running for honours at the Scottish Cafe Awards 2019.
The awards ceremony will take place at The Glasgow Marriott Hotel, on Wednesday, May 22, when the top contenders of the Scottish cafe industry will gather to celebrate the success of those who have thrived in the sector.
Among the finalists in the Best Cafe Food category is Bramble Cafe, Giffnock, while Wild Flours, also in Giffnock, is up for the Best Cafe Ambiance award.
The Best of Glasgow category features Cafe Roma, Clarkston, amongst the finalists.
The Cherry Tree Coffee House in Giffnock is a finalist in the Best New Cafe category, and the Glad Cafe, Pollokshaws Road, which is currently running an appeal to raise £40,000 for urgent repairs to the premises, is in the running for Best Community Cafe.
Newlands Cafe is up for the Dessert Parlour of the Year award.
And the cafe at Whitelee Wind Farm Visitor Centre in Eaglesham is shortlisted in the Best Visitors Cafe category.
