It was a dysfunctional relationship a l’extreme involving knife fights, a shooting — with a gun that was intended for the victim’s own planned suicide — an abandoned wife and child and an eventual jail sentence.
In the Citz this week, Untitled Projects presents a love triangle between lovers from hell on a slope that couldn’t get more slippery.
Slope explores the love affair between 19th century poets Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud.
The promo says: “Their verbal sparring is scabrous and hilarious, and their rollercoaster relationships as passionate and claustrophobic as they are cruel and ridiculous.”
The show — part of Glasgay! 2014 — is on until November 20, and tickets are £12 (£8.50).
