Youngsters at a summer sports camp in East Renfrewshire received a welcome surprise when Clyde 1 presenter, Cassi paid them a visit.
The radio celebrity had heard about the camp, run by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, which was being held in her former school, Eastwood High and decided she’d find out more about what was going on.
Cassi spoke to the youngsters during their lunch break and even joined them in some of their fun activities later in the afternoon.
Anthony McReavy, ERCL’s chief executive said: “You should have seen the look on the youngsters’ faces when Cassi walked in. She was great with the kids and told them about her growing up in East Renfrewshire.
“Our sports camps and summer activities programme during the holidays have been very popular and we hope many of the youngsters will keep taking part in sport and other activities when the school holidays are over.”
Sports and arts activities run by ERCL offer a wide variety of activities available for everyone from pre-school children through to adults.
It aims to encourage and motivate people of all ages and abilities to have fun, learn, improve and compete in a safe environment.
