Following their sell-out performances of Hairspray and 9 to 5: The Musical, Theatre South Productions are excited to bring you The Wedding Singer – a hilarious 80s styled musical.

Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room.

It’s 1985: New Jersey wedding singer Robbie Hart’s life crumbles around him after his own fiancée leaves him at the altar.

Devastated, Robbie plots to make every wedding as disastrous as his own until he meets Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection.

Much to Robbie’s dismay, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a lifetime, the girl of his dreams will be lost forever!

Directed by Alan Whitehill, musically directed by Clare Bauld and choreographed by Paula McGilvray, the incredible cast of local talent bring the vibrant ensemble of characters to life accompanied by a sparkling score and dynamic dialogue.
