“My Dad (Jack Inglis) started me off in the game and it was great that he was able to see me presented with this award from the club, I know it means a lot to him.

“It has been a great honor to have represented East Ren, RLCGA and also the Scotland Veterans/Seniors Team over the years, which has given me the opportunity to play golf in several countries I wouldn’t have expected to and brought me experiences that I could only have dreamt of.”

Speaking on behalf of the club, Ken Burnside, Club Captain, said: “Gillian’s golfing achievements speak for themselves. To have demonstrated the level of consistency required to achieve the record as the individual who has won the most amount of Ladies Club Championships at the club shows what a great competitor she is.

“I know that she has also put a lot back into the game, helping other lady golfers develop their skills which has helped them enjoy the game, as well as no doubt being instrumental in the ongoing golfing success of her own children. She is without doubt a worthy recipient of this award.”

Gillian received her award at the club’s recent AGM in front of club members, her dad, Jack Inglis, her husband Cammy, East Ren vice-captain and son Alistair, East Ren club champion.
