The children and staff at Mayfield Private Nursery paid a visit to elderly residents at the Dixon Halls in Govanhill.

The children and elderly residents have been having lots of fun, playing games, singing songs and dancing to some music.

The children were so exited going to meet everyone they just couldn’t wait to meet some new friends.

The staff within the nursery have been learning about the positive relationships that can be formed when young children and elderly citizens socialise together.

It is thought that by mixing the two generations that a new energy, knowledge and enthusiasm can be generated in each other’s lives.

Pamela Hill, nursery manager said: “The relationships that are being formed are definitely something special, we will be continuing to keep visiting and building on our friendships as much as we can.”
